As most of you have seen by now the Cleveland Cavaliers just recently defeated the Golden State Warriors 4 to 3 in a best of 7 series for the NBA Finals. The final game took place out of the Oracle Arena in Oakland on Sunday, June 19th at approximately 5 PM. Only one short day after the terrific win for Cleveland the aspiring artist and rapper Richard Colson Baker also known as Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) released a 1 minute preview of the song on his Instagram as well as his Facebook stating the following: “IM JUST GETTING STARTED.” as well as some other emojis. To hear the entire song you can head over to MGK’s Soundcloud where you will find more upcoming releases. Although Richard Baker (MGK) was born in Houston he always wanted to get the message across that he loves and represents the city he grew up in, which was Cleveland.
Here is the 1 minute teaser from his Ig/Fb. (Links above)
Not only did he create a remix to his own song for the Cav’s but he also sang it in the championship parade!
Kimbo Slice — real name Kevin Ferguson was pronounced dead June 6th 2016 at the age of 42.
According to records Kimbo Slice was hospitalized early Monday morning for unknown reasons. He passed away a short time later.
Details surrounding Kimbo’s death are unclear, though The CEO of Bellator MMA had some words to share regarding Kimbo.
“One of the most popular MMA fighters ever, Kimbo was a charismatic, larger-than-life personality that transcended the sport. Outside of the cage he was a friendly, gentle giant and a devoted family man. His loss leaves us all with extremely heavy hearts, and our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Ferguson family and all of Kimbo’s friends, fans and teammates.”
For those who do not know Kimbo Slice’s history he was an excellent backyard brawler who put on a show as well as backing up his tough image. Though Kimbo’s last fight in the ring was victorious it ended up being overturned due to Kimbo Slice testing positive for a banned steroid. We have no word as to whether or not Kimbo’s death was related to steroids quite yet. It is such a tragedy that we are losing so many great people this year.
As you may have heard the beloved Fez from “That 70s Show” (Wilmer Valderrama) and Demi Lovato have broken up. It is always sad to see this happen especially when the two have been together for as long as they have.
Wilmer Vladerrama posted the following:
“After almost 6 loving and wonderful years together, we have decided to end our relationship.
This was an incredibly difficult deicision for both of us, but we have realized that more than anything that we are better as best friends. We will always be supportive of one another.
Thank you to everyone who has offered us kindness and support over the years.
With only love,
Wiler & Demi”
It is always sad to see these type of things happen, especially when the two people have been together for so long (6 years may not be long to some, but to others that can feel like a lifetime). With that being said it is likely to be a blessing in disguise. They will hopefully now meet the right people allowing new and great opportunities to present themselves. I am personally shocked when I see how open and mature the two are about the relationship, instead of bashing each other on social media and creating all of this unnecessary drama they came to a mutual decision about how to go about the entire situation. Shoot we all think our relationships are tough well imagine having the entire world looking over yours. Props to you both Wilmer and Demi, I wish the best to you both.
The rapper Drake has just released 3 new tracks, one featuring Guwop (Gucci Mane), a collaboration with Justin Bieber, as well as a personal song. According to the latest headlines: “Drake released a remix of his song “One Dance” featuring Justin Bieber, rapper Mane’s “Back on Road” featuring Drake and Drake’s new song “4PM in Calabasas.”. Drake said: “This Saturday…I’m going off…I am the DJ for the first how” — in which he was the DJ, and released his 3 new tracks featuring the mentioned artists above.
Well here is my take on all of this. Clearly the three are all using each other to make more money (duh?), but you have to admit that Drake and Bieber are using Gucci Mane to try to up their street cred? Let’s be real for a second Drake has been trying to associate himself with the gang life for who knows how long but everyone knows he’s soft, he just acts like “the man” because he has money. The same goes for Justin Bieber. But at the same time Gucci can use both of them to increase his level of fame so I guess it all works out, aye? It’s just crazy how fake the industry is. The real Gucci Mane would never associate with such soft ass names.
Anyways let’s end on a positive note. I am glad to see such diverse artists working together to create more art for everyone to listen to, enjoy the music. 😀
